I just stumbled upon LISWiki, a Wiki for librarians. Might be worth mentioning / linking to from your wiki. Maybe some sort of interwiki collaboration could be started?

A suggestion: at some point, the participants may want to create pages about their local libraries on Wikipedia. Currently we don't have a single article on Kazachstanian library, or their system - but many other countries do. I am sure with your help they can easily not only catch up, but even surpass many others. See relevant category on English Wikipedia (there should be something similar on Russian, too).

Could I have your blogroll? :) Or could you post it as a no-script text, so we could paste it in into our blog templates?

I think that for many organizations with little staff, wiki pages may be better then normal pages - they are so much easier to update, and with restricted access, vandalism is not an issue.

I suggested this to my department, but the answer was predictable :(

I really like it, too :)

There is just one thing that is not clear to me: what is the copyright status of your photos? Does picassa allow its users to select a license, preferably <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_licence"a free one?

I am looking forward towards seeing that Wiki grow. It may be an interesting point to make that if its users want international participation, they should consider translating part of their wiki into English - or at least making an English 'about us' page.

Dying batteries. I know that pain quite well. Remedy: don't carry a set of spares. Carry at least two :)
